Acetylcholine

It will take us a while to build the acetylcholine page. Briefly, B6 indirectly raises acetylcholine. Excess accumulation of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junctions and synapses causes symptoms of both muscarinic and nicotinic toxicity. These include craps, increased salvation, lacrimation, muscle weakness, paralysis, muscular fasciculation, diarrhea and blurry vision.

If you have problems with caffeine it is because caffeine enhances acetylcholine release.

If you have problems with probiotics it is because some probiotics create acetylcholine.

If you have problems getting to sleep and staying to sleep it is because acetylcholine controls our awake cycle. Some members have had success with Kirkland (Costco)’s Sleep Aid. It is 25 mg of Doxylamine Succinate. It can be purchased on Amazon. This active ingredient works by blocking histamine and acetylcholine. As always if you choose to try this product, start slow and use wisely.
