Here is the experience of a group member, Thomas H. with Red Light Therapy:
“During the early part of recovery, the burning skin sensation was made worse by the red lights, as was being outside in daylight… Red light therapy can generate small amounts of heat (depending on the exact wave length), which I believe agitated the gentle nerves. It also made me dizzy at times. Red light can also increase NO production which is a natural vasodilator, which I attributed to the dizziness. Later on in recovery, I found red lights therapeutic as they are quite relaxing and help with the anxiety, restlessness and sleeplessness. Like anything else, your ‘mileage may vary’…”.
